'What is real?
I subscribe to the simple answer that if something has an effect, then it's real.

The experiences described in these pages are real to me. They impacted me to a tremendous degree. I am certain that much of what's in this novel happened in a dream, which I was able to recall in the process of writing...' So the author in the introduction.

This novel is about personal transformation, it's about a search for answers. It's also a story of being helped when help is needed in the worst way.

The novel begins in Berkeley, California, with a chronically depressed man, Martin Devon, struggling with a failing marriage and a collapsing business. At his bleakest hour, he is helped during his sleep.

He finds himself revisiting a past life,Britain 464 AD. In a chaotic and collapsing civilization he encounters the people and events from his past that show him the cause of his condition. He also finds a path to wholeness.

The novel is about hope, redemption, and transformation. Martin encounters mystics who practice meditation and Agape, practices that were to be completely eradicated in a few more centuries. The Arthurian legend also figures prominently, and the book provides a good, solid factual account of the time period. Wars, life and mysticism.

Some readers have found this to be a good historical novel. For others it it's a book on mysticism.

A few have commented on the 'alternate reality' and condider it just a 'good, fun read.'

All good comments.
